Dr. Fernando completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, followed by dental school at the University of Michigan. He completed an internship at The Ohio State University and a four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Rochester. He is board-certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He enjoys performing as a concert violinist, cooking, biking, and traveling with his family.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. Chiapel holds degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Biology from Regis University. He received his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. He has practiced in Wildwood, MO since 2001 and joined Gateway in 2023.
